'Virtual Recollections: Non-Linear Narrative in Video Games'

Jeanluc’s dissertation aims to take storytelling in video games to a new level by creating a narrative which could take a different direction depending on the actions taken by the player during gameplay. The project’s hypothesis was to find methods to correlate narrative and gameplay whilst maintaining a streamlined development structure. This was carried out by observing the methods used by other similar games and developer suggestions and applying the findings into the creation of a proof-of-concept prototype
